I'm reading Diary of a wimpy kid

  This is a book that I am reading called Diary of a Wimpy Kid, in this series I am up to book 8 which is called Hard Luck.

There is 12 books in this series. The author is Jeff Kinney. The main charter is Greg Heffley. He has a beast friend called Rowley Jefferson, but in this book Greg feel all lonely and fell like Rowley has been taken away. Cos Rowley has a girl friend. Greg fells like she has taken all his fun away and taken control of him.

Today I will tell you about the art I have been doing, in the past few weeks.

The art choices was painting, weaving, and drama. My first choices was weaving and second drama. The first week of weaving was fun we made a flower, then the next three weeks I made a wrist band, so I could also put it up on our wall.

Drama was fun to I also did that for three weeks. In drama we did a lot of games like hot seat, where people sit on chairs and the teacher would read a sentence like. " You were sleeping and you woke up by a rat what would your faces be like". So then we choosed who had the beast expression, then they would go to the next round. We played a few more games but one I really liked one game and it was scratch murder, it is when you are at the ball and two or three people are the murders and every one shakes every ones hand and if you shack the murders hand you will fell a scratch and you have ten seconds before you die. If you know who the murders are you tell the detective who you think it is. Another game I also liked was freeze the teacher says something like " Act like ants ". Then when the teacher said freeze and you stay in that pose if the, teacher sees you move your out then the other people go to the next round.

My trip to ferrymead and walking the Bridle path

On Friday my Hub went to Ferrymead and we did the Bridle path.

The group that I went in to was the 1800s. The first group to go. When we arrived to Ferrymead. There was are guide.  He told us in the 1800s the children had to have, straight spine if they did not they would strap wood to them to make them straight. 2 He also said that children were seen but not heard, and that included with there parents. 3 They had to keep there shoes tidy co they were hand made and  cost a lot of money. He took us to get changed in to the olden day cloths. Two women showed us our clothes that we had to wear. After that they took us to a room and this was were we left our bags. then we all split up in to group with teacher and parents.

My groups first activity was the play area. There was A few hola-hops made out of bamboo, and you had to try make it run around for as long as possible with a stick. Me and Beccy tried it, too me awhile to get it but it was FUN. Then Beccy and I found the stilts, I think I got  it up once but didn't walk on it. So I tried Croquet, It was fun after we finished the first round. But then Beccy and I got told that it wasn't like golf but you that to swing it through your legs then hit it. It was a lot harder that way, but still fun. So the last one I tried was when you had to twist a circle with three different colour and there was string tied to it. There was bubbles and a fish hook game.

Are second rotation was going to school. we lined up boys, in one line and girls in another line. The teacher we had was Miss Tomas. She said something like. " I hope you haven't got dirt under your nails again. From yesterday". She was really strict she told the boys to put there hats on the hook. in the class room the girls sat on the right side and the boys on the left, I saw quill pens and a ink hole. I saw a book on my table I was sitting next to Beccy. There was a book there, Miss Tomas said to turn to the first page there was a song we had to sing to Queen Victoria. Then we had to read some stuff that I can't remember. Then it came to writing, she said that we had to copy a linked piece of paper and we had to trace it. My pen wasn't working so our principle Mrs Earl help me, then Miss Tomas hit her cane on the her table and I got a fright. She said to put are pens down and she collected are paper. Then she told us get our black board out and out chalk and to do your 7 times tables. I was all under pusher and racing them, when she came around to see them so taped my board with her cane. So I think I got it right.


Then it was time to go to the bakery where we made biscuits well we waited we had lunch. After that it was time to do the bridle path, which was hard we went down the Gondola and it stopped about 4 or 6 times. I was with Lilly, Monique, Claudia, Amber and are principal. We were the first people on the bus.

My Treasures


The first term back to school being a year 7 now.  We have started to share our treasures, and my treasures are my cat, a book, and my granddad.

Why my cat, it is cause she was my first pet and I got her for my early present for my sixth birth day and she was born on Christmas eve. The book that I have was called Amelia Badelia. When I went out on my holiday after Christmas, I went with my family and my gran parents, to Mutternow. My Granddad, he is funny and he is kind like all.

Athletics day

At school we have been practising athletics, on every Thursday. Finely the big day has arrived, for the school to see who will go to zones.


Arriving to school was kind of scary, everyone was in sports gear, the wind was gusty, and it was like icicles were touching my face as I breathed in the cold air, goosebumps were, all over my legs. I rushed in to my class room to keep warm. Soon after, we lined up out side, ready to, do Athletics. Boys left and were doing The field events and the girls had to do Track. The younger girls got to do sprints first. Finely the eleven year old got to do sprints. I lined up in the first line of sprints, Butterflies in my tummy, and my heart, was racing, The cold wind disappeared. " On your marks....Get set.....Go". I was off running as fast as I could on the wet grass. It was over, the cold collapsed around me, and I got sent to sit down. Soon the sprints were over, then we moved on to Long distance. It was oldest to youngest. But at lest I was not waiting for that long. All the girls in my age lined up, ready to go. We had to jog  up to the cones, And then we were of. We had to do three laps around the back field. I was coming fourth place, then on the second lap I came second then third. On the last lap I came fourth. they gave me a card and I said my name, and sat down, and watched the others, race. Soon it was lunch time, we had a break for half an hour, then it was our turn, to do Field. The girls went in to there age group. My age group is eleven, up first we had discus. I wasn't every good at it but, I got high score then every time it was my turn I got high.

Then when discus was over we went to a tent to have a little rest, then we went on to long jump.              ( Long jump is my favourite sport ) We lined in our last name, in order, I was maybe  8 or 7. When we were running for long jump we had to take off our hats. When it was my turn I ran as fast as I could, I had to jump on the orange of the mat, No thither, than that other, wise it would be no jump. I jumped and a slid in the sand. We had three turns at it, I came third.

 High Jump. We lined up on our sides, I was on the left, and a lot of people were on the right. Soon it was my turn, and I didn't make it over then the second time I made it. Three other kids made it as well, The pole went high, I got nevus, I ran I jumped and I smacked in to the pole, my side hurt, then it was my second jump, I ran I jumped, and I scummed the pole and it fell down. I was out. Two other girls got out as well, so I came Second= .

last but not least Shot put. I was the fifth girl to go, I steeped up to the circle. One tow three. I had thrown it as far as I could. I was tied with number ten. Then my second throw. I took the ball in my hand it was very heavy, I through it again and it got therther than be for. I came round about second to last but better than last year.

I got to zones for long distanced, I think I came around about eleven, out of fifteen girls.   

Team building challenges.

At the first week back at school we did team building. To help us to work together as a team. There are all different tasks, that we do in that week.

The first task, we were given to do was to make a stretcher to hold five big books and to balance a cup of water on top. The things we had to make the stretcher, out of was, two full pieces of newspaper, and  one metre of tape. I was put in a group of five people, we made the stretcher have a stet base and then we made some handles and, add a few more bits and pieces. Then when the moment came for the test, WE DID IT. So that was the first task for that day. 

The second day we had to make a paper chain as long as we could. Our supplies were one big piece of paper and one metre of tape, and in a group of five. I was doing cutting the paper up in to strips. Then before I knew it there was only tow mints left, so my team had to quickly do it but wen we were lining them up ours broke in half sow we quickly put it together, and we came second or third. 

The third day, the group had to do cup stacking with using a rubber band tied to string, so we had to yous it to grab the cups. Then we had to stack the in like a tower. Then we were the last ones to do it, then we had to stack the cup normally, and when we had finished, we shouted it out so loud then every one stared to laugh, at us because we were last.

The fourth day the last day for the task, and this task was, we had to make a tower of  marshmallow for the base of pasta sticks. That's what we had to make it out of. We made a good base then we found it hared to build it up. Wen time was ruining out of time we put a small piece of pastier sticks on the top.  Then it fell but wen the teachers measured it. We came third.
